Our Mission
The Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council advocates for, supports, and inspires women in the building industry by providing opportunities for both professional and personal development, as well as engagement of our members.
How do we accomplish our mission? We:
- Acknowledge women and their achievements in the building industry
- Provide resources and training opportunities to help women achieve financial independence
- Educate the public on the value of women working in the building industry
- Build coalitions to strengthen the voice of women within the industry

PWB Events
PWB hosts and participates in many association events throughout the year, offering something for everyone.
- Our annual PWB Summit each fall celebrates the future of women in the building industry with inspiring keynote speakers.
- Give back to the community as part of the PWB Rampathon team each spring.
- Raise a glass and grow your network at monthly happy hours or the annual PWB Summer Social.
- Learn how to be a better leader, make stronger connections, and hear from topical speakers at quarterly leadership luncheons. The PWB Steering Committee meets immediately after PWB luncheon events and on an as-needed basis.
- Enjoy an evening full of fun, food, and holiday spirit at the MBAKS Holiday Gala, where we toast the best of our association, including the Sandy McAdams Woman of the Year.
